J'ai fondé The Maker's Garden ma micro-entreprise en 2019, qui est l'entrelacement parfait entre la concrétisation de mes idées et la mise en avant de mes valeurs. Le respect et l'équité ont ici une place importante.

/I founded The Maker's Garden my micro-enterprise in 2019, which is the perfect interweaving between the realization of my ideas and the promotion of my values. Respect and equity play an important role here.

La grande partie de The Maker's Garden concerne les idées et les projets que je veux partager. Je suis fascinée par les mécanismes, la fabrication de maquettes, de diorama, de petites choses techniques qui demandent réflexion et logique, tout en baignant dans l'univers créatif qui m'est propre.

/The major part of The Maker's Garden is about the ideas and projects I want to share. I am fascinated by the mechanisms, the manufacture of models, diorama, small technical things that require reflection and logic, while bathing in the creative universe which is specific to me.

Klaus - Mechanical Model

To honor the film Klaus and especially it's setdesigns, I decided to recreate one of the film's sets in model, and give it life in my own way. I love making mechanisms, and it made sense to use it for a Klaus fanart, filled with mechanical toys. And above all, there are very rarely fanarts of setdesigns, yet they are very important for the atmosphere of a film

I hope that you like it as much as it enchanted me to recreate it, and that it shows you the possibilities of mechanical miniatures.

In balsa wood, painted with acrylic paint and a lot of patience. It took me many weeks (in facts, months) to finish it.

Une partie de The Maker's Garden était consacrée à la fabrication d'objets de décoration en collaboration équitable avec des artistes. e mets en synergie mes connaissances en technique et mécanismes avec l'univers incroyable des artistes.

Cette activité est pour l'instant mise de côté car je souhaite me consacrer sur mes projets personnels, qui me tiennent à coeur :)

Chaque artiste avec qui je collaborais signait un contrat rédigé par une avocate spécialisée dans le droit de la propriété intellectuelle, et recevait minimum 25% de droit d'auteur sur le prix de vente de chaque objet.

Parfois, pour que les oeuvres soient plus accessibles au grand public, nous baissions, d'un commun d'accord avec l'artiste, nos rémunérations respectives (sans jamais descendre en dessous de 15% pour l'artiste) Chaque achat dans la boutique permet donc de montrer que l'on peut bien rémunérer un artiste tout en faisant vivre une micro-entreprise :)

* Les 25% se basent sur le prix de vente, et non le bénéfice. Ça peut paraître peu, mais à titre de comparaison, ma propre rémunération se situait environ au même niveau. Le reste était utilisé pour payer les charges, les cotisations, le pack, etsy et le matériel de fabrication. Je sais qu'il est parfois difficile de savoir comment tout cela fonctionne, d'où cette petite explication :)

/Part of The Maker's Garden was devoted to the production of decorative objects in fair collaboration with artists. I put in synergy my knowledge in technique and mechanisms with the incredible universe of artists.

This activity is for the moment put aside because I want to devote myself to my personal projects, which are close to my heart :)

Each artist with whom I collaborated signs a contract written by a lawyer specializing in intellectual property law, and received at least 25% copyright on the sale price of each object.

Sometimes, to make the works more accessible to the general public, we lower, by mutual agreement with the artist, our respective remunerations (without ever going below 15% for the artist) Each purchase in the shop So lets show that you can pay an artist well while supporting a micro-enterprise :)

* The 25% is based on the sale price, not the profit. It may not seem like much, but for comparison, my own remuneration was around the same level. The rest is used to pay charges, contributions, the pack, etsy and manufacturing equipment. I know that it is sometimes difficult to know how it all works, hence this little explanation :)

Pour mettre en valeur le travail des artistes, j'utilise principalement la technique de sublimation thermique, et j'imprime sur des plaques Chromaluxe HD en aluminium. Il s'agit d'une technologie qui capte la lumière et permet de faire vivre une illustration. Selon l'arrivée de la lumière, les effets seront différents, les ambiances aussi. La qualité est incroyable, sans compter que les plaques sont résistantes aux UV pendant 60 ans (=pas de décoloration), au feu, à l'eau

/To highlight the artists' work, I mainly use the thermal sublimation technique, and I print on Chromaluxe HD aluminum plates. It is a technology that captures light and allows an illustration to come to life. Depending on the arrival of light, the effects will be different, the moods too. The quality is incredible, not to mention that the plates are UV resistant for 60 years (= no discoloration), fire, water
